Description:

Hulcher Services is looking for a hardworking and driven Railway Laborer to join our team. You will be instrumental in responding to and clearing railroad derailments, which includes the lifting and moving of derailed rail cars and locomotives. Your skills will also be applied to environmental remediation sites, industrial settings, and rail construction projects.

What You'll Do:

• Provide essential ground support for various operations.
• Handle heavy steel chains, blocks, cables, and other tools effectively.
• Crawl under and climb on derailed railroad cars and other types of equipment.
• Maintain and clean equipment using both small and large tools.
• Utilize cutting torches, hand, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Lift up to 150 lbs, with frequent lifting of objects up to 50 lbs.
• Work at elevated heights on railroad cars, bridges, or over water.
• Keep precise service records for equipment.
• Ensure the safekeeping and proper use of company tools.

Requirements:

What You Bring:

• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to be on call 24/7, 365 days a year in emergency situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to qualify for a Commercial Driver License.
• Preferred experience in construction, landscaping, farming, or similar outdoor roles.
• Willingness to learn and effectively utilize tools and equipment.
