AMMON Staffing is currently recruiting a First Class Plate Rolling / Press Brake Operator for a manufacturing/fabrication company in Slaughter, LA at $27.00/Hour + DOE.

Join a high-performing team fabricating heavy equipment to exacting specs. This role is ideal for a self-starter who can read structural drawings and safely operate plate roll/press brake equipment with minimal supervision. If you're strong with layout, forming, and material handling, we'd like to hear from you.

Role Snapshot

• Perform simple to highly complex plate forming per blueprints and layout specs
• Read and interpret structural drawings; stage/move material to next station
• Maintain an organized, safe work area; complete additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Able to read structural drawings and a tape measure; solid fractional math
• Torch cutting and arc gouging experience
• Knowledge of common fab tools/equipment (grinders, burning equipment, saws, etc.)
• Operate material-handling equipment (forklifts, overhead cranes)
• Physically able to lift/move 50 lbs; climb ladders; bend/squat; use sledgehammers up to 20 lbs
• Clean background and able to pass a drug screen
• Commitment to PPE use and safe work practices

Experience Preferred

• Press Brake: 2+ years
• Plate Forming: 2+ years
