Description: AMMON Staffing is hiring a Maintenance Helper for a well-established, long-standing organization with multiple facilities in the Baton Rouge area. This is a hands-on support role assisting an experienced maintenance technician with routine upkeep, basic repairs, and facility-related tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is safety-minded, reliable, and comfortable working on-site across different locations.

Schedule
-- Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
-- Overtime or later hours may be available based on facility needs

Pay
-- $15.00/hour

Position Summary
The Maintenance Helper will support day-to-day maintenance operations by assisting with preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and general facility work. This role is designed to provide a second set of hands for safety, ladder work, and completing tasks efficiently-especially when work is needed after normal hours.

Key Responsibilities
-- Assist with basic maintenance tasks across multiple facilities
-- Help with minor repairs (doors, hardware, fixtures, touch-up work, etc.)
-- Support light plumbing/electrical assistance under direction (no licensed work required)
-- Help with changing filters, bulbs, batteries, and other routine building tasks
-- Perform basic measuring and use hand tools safely
-- Maintain a clean and organized work area
-- Follow safety procedures and report hazards promptly

Requirements
-- Prior maintenance, construction, labor, or handyman-type experience preferred (not required if mechanically inclined)
-- Comfortable with ladders and working on your feet throughout the day
-- Basic tool knowledge and ability to follow instructions
-- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
-- Reliable transportation to report to the primary location (work is completed using company vehicle while on duty)
