divh2Uniform Patrol Deputy/h2pPatrol assigned area./ppStop cars for violations./ppInvestigate loitering./ppMake arrests and issue citations./ppRespond to accidents, providing first aid and emergency services until paramedics arrive./ppRespond to dispatched calls./ppConduct traffic, criminal and other investigations./ppPrepare detailed and well written reports./ppTestify in court in response to subpoenas/ppShift: 12-hour rotating shifts/ppQualifications:/pulliAt least 21 years old/liliCitizen of the United States or a permanent resident/liliHave a minimum of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency recognized by the State of Louisiana/liliMust have one of the following:/liulliAt least one year of experience as a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified law enforcement officer in a full-time position, whose job duties included armed duty with the power of arrest; or/liliLouisiana Law Enforcement POST Certification; or/lili1 year of continuous active duty in the military; or/liliBachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or/lili80+ semester hours from a regionally accredited college or university in a Bachelors Degree program/li/ul/ulpCompensation and Benefits:/pulli$46,755 starting annual salary/lili100% employer paid health, vision and life insurance for our employees. Members do not pay social security (FICA) tax but they do pay Medicare tax./liliLouisiana Deferred Compensation Plan is a voluntary retirement saving vehicle. Employees may choose to contribute tax-free dollars to save for retirement. The plan is similar to a 401(k) plan offered in private industry, but there is no employer match for employee contributions.
