PSS LLC is currently hiring Laborer for a project located in Plaquemine, LA.

Job Type: Temporary Project based

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Duration & Schedule: 10 day project; 7 days per week, 12 hours per day

Per Diem: $75 per day. Must live 65 miles or greater from the site.

Travel in and out: $0.6525 per mile paid only for one drive to and one drive from the site. Must live 65 miles or greater from the site.

Work Location: Onsite

Responsibilities

• • Assist with the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials and tools safely around the site
  • Support skilled workers by holding, lifting, and positioning materials as needed for various tasks
  • Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for everyone on site
  • Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision, ensuring proper use and maintenance
  • Assist in measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to project specifications
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area to promote safety and efficiency throughout each shift

Position Requirements

Qualifications

• • Must be 18+ years old.
  • TWIC card in hand required, no receipts.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects up to 80lbs, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions carefully.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures related to construction sites.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for success in this role.
  • Personal transportation to the job site is required.
