Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources RE: Internal - McKinney-Vento Virtual Afterschool Academic Tutor (2) Brockton High School The above captioned position is available through FY26 McKinney-Vento Grant FC310 funding. Qualifications: 1.Current teacher, guidance/adjustment counselor, or administrator at Brockton High School. 2.Ability to assist students with homework help and/or academic remediation in major content areas up to 3 hours per week. 3.MA DESE licensed educator. 4.Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents/guardians. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Academic Support a.Collaborate with Guidance/Counseling staff to identify MV/FC students in need of additional academic support services. b.Virtually assist students with access to available afterschool academic resources including tutoring, homework-help, teacher office hours, vocational, and career services (BHS). c.Support the development and strengthening of student and organization skills. d.Communicate with teachers as needed. e.Monitor progress and participation. 2.Collaborate with District McKinney-Vento and Foster Care Liaison a.Maintain accurate attendance and count of students served in each service/activity and submit monthly data reports. b.Notify of any changes needed for transportation to accommodate afterschool activities. c.Submit monthly time log for additional compensation. Compensation: Two (2) staff will receive a stipend for up to 3 hours per week of academic support throughout the school year. Stipend shall be paid out monthly increments at the contracted rate.
