KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is essential in creating a secure environment by preventing theft and fraud while prioritizing the safety of both staff and customers. You will be a visible presence at entrances and exits, welcoming customers warmly and ensuring adherence to our theft prevention policies. Your proactive engagement on the sales floor will empower you to identify potential theft indicators in collaboration with store leadership.

Essential Duties Include:

• Ensuring a safe shopping and working atmosphere by promptly addressing safety concerns and maintaining clear pathways.
• Delivering outstanding customer service by greeting visitors, addressing questions with a friendly attitude, and promoting a respectful environment.
• Monitoring store areas for suspicious activities and reporting them immediately to store management.
• Educating colleagues on loss prevention initiatives and best practices to effectively minimize operational shortages.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; an AA degree is preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in retail supervision or training is advantageous.
• 1+ years in loss prevention or security training preferred.
• An active Security Guard License is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong communication skills.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Availability for consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to spend extended periods standing and moving throughout the store.
• Capability to lift objects over 25 lbs and perform bending or stooping as necessary.
