Temp-to-Hire Position
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $19-$20/hour (DOE)

Job Summary
Our company is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support daily shipping and receiving operations. This temp-to-hire position is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments, receiving materials, and ensuring all documentation and handling procedures are completed accurately and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from delivery trucks
• Prepare and package shipments according to customer specifications and delivery schedules
• Count, weigh, and measure materials prior to shipment
• Prepare material certifications and shipping documentation
• Coordinate shipment pickups with carrier representatives
• Verify carrier identification and obtain required signatures on bills of lading
• Assemble and label shipping containers (cardboard, wooden, or composite)
• Affix packing lists, shipping labels, and related documents
• Safely operate overhead cranes to move materials from production to packaging
• Continuous use of computers for shipping and receiving information

Requirements:

• HSD or GED
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read measurements and perform basic calculations
• Strong work ethic, integrity and positive attitude
• Physically fit to perform hands-on warehouse work, including frequent standing, reaching, bending, and lifting materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
