Mortgage Field Services Inspector FAR Inspections

FAR Inspections is looking for highly motivated individuals to perform residential occupancy verifications on behalf of mortgage lenders. Independent contractors earn predictable full?time or supplemental income and enjoy a flexible schedule. Experience with mortgage field inspections is not required but an ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines is crucial.

Reno, NV (contractor based)

Responsibilities

• Verify property occupancy and report overall condition using a mobile application.
• Complete each inspection within 4 days of assignment.
• Take 9+ photos of the property with brief comments.
• Complete a short form in the app.
• Drive within your assigned county territory, making numerous stops during the day.
• Most inspections are exterior only; about 10% require interior photos after the property has gone vacant.

Requirements

• Computer with a reliable internet connection.
• Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will be paying for your own gas).
• Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
• Printer.
• Pass a standard background check using a valid driver's license.

Pay and Hours

This is a 1099 contractor position. Each inspection has a flat rate. Rates vary based on county and volume. Although you are paid per inspection, you will earn the equivalent of $30?$40 per hour. Depending on the county and whether it is urban or rural you will complete anywhere from 20 to 500 inspections per month working 2 to 30 hours per week. There is no set amount of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month to month.

Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
