The Vice President, Digital Excellence will lead the transformation of the organization's digital capabilities to drive internal efficiency, innovation and medical value. Reporting to the Head of Performance Excellence, this role balances operational rigor with digital strategy, integrating dispersed digital capabilities into a unified Center of Excellence. The VP will oversee the digital roadmap for the DX business in Data Architecture & Engineering, Data safety and privacy, Cyber Security, Biostatistics, Advanced Analytics & AI, Real World Data (RWD), and Post-Market Surveillance.
This pivotal role requires harmonizing governance, compliance, and cost control with strategic innovation in analytics, biostatistics, and data management. The Scope comprises Innovation, Medical Value and Operations, external collaborations and clinical evaluations, R&D, Quality and Regulatory through cross-functional engagement.
Strategic Leadership & Digital Transformation
- Define and execute a digital strategy to accelerate innovation and efficiency across Strategy, Clinical and Technical Innovation, Medical Value and Evidence, Medical Operations, Clinical & Technology Innovation, and Strategy.
- Define Dx wide data architecture and governance for product delivery and on market surveillance.
- Champion adoption of AI, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods for predictive modeling and adaptive study designs.
- Build digital roadmap supporting internal and product related strategic imperatives.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Establish a centralized organizational model with embedded resources for agility and alignment.
- Build a Data Governance framework ensuring interoperability through data standardization and master data management.
- Ensure compliance with global data privacy and cybersecurity regulations (FDA, IVDR, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Drive system harmonization with IT, maintaining unified platforms to reduce fragmentation and costs.
Resource Management & Talent Development
- Lead strategic resource planning to optimize allocation and investments.
- Manage departmental budget, identifying opportunities for automation and effectiveness-increase through digital process automation.
- Develop team capabilities in AI, communication, and agile methodologies to foster a high-performing workforce.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Education
- Advanced Degree (Master's or higher) in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related field with post-graduate education in AI and Computer Science.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification desirable.
Experience
- 15+ years in biostatistics, data management, and analytics within diagnostics; 10+ years in leadership roles.
- Expertise in clinical data management, statistical modeling, and Real-World Evidence generation.
- Proven success in digital transformation, including cloud migration (e.g., Azure DevOps).
- Track record of data operations optimization and modernization yielding significant efficiency increase (e.g., $1M+ annually).
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements (FDA, IVDR, ISO 13485, GDPR, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).

The base pay range for this position is:
$278,500 - $382,932
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
If this is a commission eligible position the commission eligibility will be in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan. Commissions are based on individual performance and/or company performance.
