Landscape Laborer Positions

Progressive Landscaping LLC is looking to fill two landscape laborer positions in Ascension, East Baton Rouge, and Livingston Parishes. This is a temporary, full-time position starting on 3/1/2026 and ending on 11/15/2026. Using hand tools, mowers, edgers to maintain lawns. Mow, cut, water, edge lawns; weed eat, edge, trimming, cutting, tilling, sodding, vegetation control; pull, chop weeds, prune and haul topsoil and mulch. May be required to drive motorized vehicles. Involves loading and unloading tools and supplies and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Involves working outdoors in all types of weather. Involves extensive standing, sitting or walking. Involves frequent stooping or bending. Involves repetitive movements.

Optional housing, if available, at $750 a month utilities included (rent amounts maybe subject to change based on local rates and cost of living). Employer will not deduct rent from pay. Possibility of performance based raise, bonuses, overtime and Saturdays as required. Transportation provided to multiple worksites from central location in Baton Rouge, LA. 60 minutes of unpaid breaks throughout the day. Employer will not deduct rent from pay. Deductions will not drop the overall wage below the UDSOL minimum, if the deductions are too great they will not be made. Daily hours may vary between start and end times listed depending on weather or job assignments Terms and Conditions of Employment: $17.17 to $19.17 per hour. Minimum of 40 hours per week - Mon - Fri (with a possibility of Sat.), 6:30:00 AM to 4:30:00 PM (schedules may vary). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate is $25.76 to $28.76. Possibility of Performance based raise. On the job training provided. Transportation: Employer will provide advance transportation costs for most economical common carrier for workers, either foreign or domestic, to place of employment from place of recruitment and reimburse subsistence when worker completes 50% of the work period. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence to be reimbursed at a minimum amount of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per 24 hour period (with receipts) of travel. Three-fourths guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. Tools, Equipment and Supplies: Employer will provide all tools and supplies, without charge or deposit, necessary to perform job duties. On the Job Training Provided. Miscellaneous: Employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law unless agreed to. H-2B Workers who paid visa, border and or other visa related fees, including those mandated by the government, will be reimbursed by employer in the first workweek.
