Dane Street, a nationally recognized Independent Review Organization (IRO) and leading provider of Utilization Review (UR) services, is expanding its panel of physician reviewers. We are currently seeking Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons with an active Louisiana medical license to perform Utilization Reviews on a flexible, remote basis. This is a non-clinical, contract opportunity ideal for experienced surgeons interested in earning supplemental income while maintaining their clinical practice.

• Compensation: Paid per case (average review takes 15-20 minutes)

• Start Date: Training and onboarding completed in under one week

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Utilization Reviews to assess medical necessity of requested treatments or procedures
• Review prior authorizations and appealed cases using evidence-based clinical guidelines
• Provide well-documented, objective, and clinically sound determinations
• No direct patient care—this is a documentation-based, advisory-only role
• Complete all work within Dane Street's secure online portal

Requirements

• Board Certification in Plastic Surgery
• Active, unrestricted Louisiana Medical License
• Currently engaged in clinical practice
• Strong written communication and analytical skills
• Comfort working with electronic medical records and evidence-based guidelines
