The Audit Department of Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) is seeking a motivated graduate or undergraduate student possessing the following qualities:
The successful candidate will assist the Audit Department in completing the annual audit plan which includes audits of TRSL employers (school boards, universities, etc.), internal TRSL processes and third party investment service providers, all while working in a positive working environment. The student intern will have the opportunity to develop the following skills while learning the internal audit process:
This position is considered part-time and the candidate may work up to 25 hours per week with a flexible schedule and is expected (but not guaranteed) to continue until the successful candidate is eligible to compete for a full-time position with TRSL. The salary for this position is $17 per hour.
Candidate must be a full-time student in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, finance, government, law, or other qualitative or quantitative analysis and research fields.
Student must maintain full-time status in order to retain eligibility for continued employment as a student worker/intern. Verification of full-time student status must be provided to the Human Resources office upon hire and at the beginning of each Spring and Fall semester. Verification must be on official university letterhead and include the student's name, status, number of hours enrolled, and classification.
