Help students improve their basic math, reading comprehension, language, and computer skills so they can achieve a high school equivalency and/or industry-based credentials (IBC) to secure entry-level employment or advance in their current occupation. Develop, deliver, revise, and teach academic instruction up to the college level, focusing on College and Career Readiness. Work with students to identify potential barriers to their success in obtaining, retaining, and advancing their careers, and implement solutions to ensure their success. Teaching may include face-to-face, online, day, or evening classes. Work closely with students to identify their career goals and develop an individualized career plan. Supervisor: Director of Adult Education. Physical Demands: Lift up to 25 lbs. Work Environment: Frequent interaction with staff, students, and the public; Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending. Starting Pay: $41,000 - $54,000, depending upon years of teaching experience and level of education. Schedule: Mondays (8 am to 5 pm), Tuesdays & Thursdays (8 am to 2 pm; 5 pm to 8 pm), Wednesdays (8 am to 5 pm), Fridays (8 am to 2 pm) or as needed outside this schedule for special events, meetings, or to meet student needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution, Two years of teaching experience, Satisfactory background check. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited educational institution with a concentration in Education, Two years of teaching experience with adult learners over the age of 18.
