The Division of Administration/Office of Risk Management has a vacancy. This job title has an assigned pay grade of AS-613.
Office of Risk Management is responsible for managing all state insurance covering property and liability exposures, through commercial underwriters or by self-insuring. This requires the duty of managing all insurance claims, including all tort claims made against the state or any state agency, whether or not covered by insurance. The Administrative Program Specialist-A position is responsible for performing duties that involve a variety of administrative program functions.
The Division of Administration is the state government's management arm and the hub of its financial operations. Division offices perform a wide variety of activities including the following:
An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:
Minimum qualifications include three years of experience in administrative services; or six years of full-time work experience in any field; or a bachelor's degree. Experience substitution is also possible.
Job duties include managing general supply inventories, supporting conference room scheduling, remotely monitoring visitor arrivals, functioning as liaison with OTS for routine office telecommunication and technology matters, preparing assigned workspace, authorizing system access for onboarding of new employees, handling incoming and outgoing mail, participating in plans to update workspace, serving as ORM's primary timekeeper, assisting Director with duties related to position description updates, planning, scheduling and conducting safety meetings, reviewing, compiling and updating risk exposure reports, serving as ORM's property manager, participating in training on the organization and maintenance of records and information management functions, and serving as the records coordinator for the admin support unit.
