Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Overhauls rebuild and repair an automatic and manual transmissions and gear reduction systems.
- Overhauls, rebuilds, and repairs pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Rebuilds and repairs drive line assemblies, including differentials, power drivers, and dual speed axles
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical systems.
- Locates defects and causes of malfunction through visual and audible inspections
- Determines the nature and extent of repair necessary and selects the best work procedures to accomplish the repair.
- Fits and installs parts such as pistons, valves, bearings, gears, and cylinders to appropriate tolerances.
