Court Security Officer

The Louisiana Court of Appeals, First Circuit, is seeking a qualified, team-oriented professional to be a part of the First Circuit Security Department. As a member of the First Circuit Security team, you will provide security for the judges, attorneys, and support staff of the court.

Daily duties include:

• Greeting and processing all visitors to the courthouse through security checkpoints
• Monitoring courthouse surveillance operations
• Guarding the courthouse main entrance
• Responding to on-site security-related situations and coordinating with emergency personnel
• Patrolling and securing the courthouse and its immediate grounds

Requirements for the job are:

• Three years of law enforcement experience
• Current P.O.S.T. certification from an accredited Louisiana Law Enforcement Agency
• Professional demeanor and discretion are a must

Candidate must be able to meet the physical requirements of the duties described above, pass a background check, possess a valid state driver's license, and have basic computer skills.

The starting salary range is $36,157-$41,000.
