Senior System Engineer Computer Network Architecture

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Nature of Business: Accounting Firm

Salary: $122,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing multi‑vendor routers, switches, firewalls, and phone systems on multiple projects.
• Configure and manage network monitoring software such as SolarWinds.
• Implement data warehouses, develop SSIS ETL processes, and Power BI dashboards providing real‑time data analytics to clients.
• Design, implement and support Cisco Voice technologies, devices involving Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection Voicemail, Unified Contact Center Express and Voice Gateways.
• Utilize AWS and Azure cloud connectivity to enterprise and VMware virtualization technologies.
• Design, implement and support enterprise security using network firewalls, VPN, endpoint security, IDS/IPS systems with devices comprising CheckPoint, Cisco ASA, Meraki, Juniper SRX, CradlePoint and SonicWALL.
• Configure firewall technologies such as access lists, application and URL filtering, high‑availability, NAT, site‑to‑site and remote‑access VPN.
• Design, implement and troubleshoot routing technologies including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, policy‑based routing, HSRP, route redistribution and switching technologies including VLANs, trunking, EtherChannel, spanning‑tree.

Experience & Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressive systems engineering experience.
• Certifications: Cisco CCDA (Network Design), Cisco CCNA (Routing and Switching), Cisco CMNA (Meraki Systems), Juniper JNCIP‑ENT (Enterprise Routing and Switching), Juniper JNCIS‑SEC (Security), VMware VCP6‑NV (Network Virtualization), VMware VCA6‑DCV (Data Center Virtualization), CheckPoint CCSE (Security Engineer), SolarWinds SCP, Microsoft MCP (Windows Server).

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networking or a related specialty field.
