Overview

Our client is a privately owned company located in Eunice, LA, seeking an HR Talent Director to join their leadership team. This newly created role combines elements of HR management and talent strategy, offering the opportunity to shape both the operational and strategic direction of HR.

Responsibilities

• Talent Management: Lead succession planning, leadership development, career pathing, and executive-level reporting (including board presentations).
• HR Strategy & Culture: Drive HR transformation to a more employee-first function. Oversee engagement initiatives including surveys, communications, EVP reporting, and cultural alignment.
• HR Operations: Manage benefits administration (with vendor partners), HRIS (Arcoro), policy development, employee records, and orientation programs.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a key contact for investigations, compliance, and legal support (minimal ER due to existing hotline).
• Team Oversight: Lead a small HR team including 1 HR Manager and 2 HR Reps/Benefits Analysts.
• Other: No recruiting responsibilities; payroll handled at field offices.

Requirements

• Strong background in HR operations and talent management.
• Proven experience with succession planning.
• Familiarity with HRIS (Arcoro), benefits administration, and compliance.
• SHRM certification preferred (not required).
• Spanish language skills a plus.
• Onsite presence required; occasional travel to job sites.
