Westaff has an immediate need for an experience Tool Room Clerk for the Ascension Parish area. Pay rate is depending on experience - $18-23 an hour, plus overtime. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Monday - Friday, 700am - 330pm, some weekends required.

Must pass 10 panel drug screen prior to starting.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking and ordering inventory of consumables and tools such as grinders, sanders, plugs, and other electrically or pneumatically operated tools, etc.
• Monitoring, maintaining, restocking inventory levels, and knowing when to reorder materials.
• Distributing proper consumables and tools to the appropriate team members.
• Conducting regular inventory checks to ensure the availability and accuracy of materials.
• Processing and handling purchase orders, coordinating with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Cleaning and organizing the tool room area.

• Prior experience in a quality control, fabrication or industrial environment is helpful, with a strong knowledge of consumables and pneumatic tools.
• Familiarity with the distribution and tracking of tools and consumables.
• Ability to manage purchasing processes, track inventory, and work with vendors to ensure timely supply replenishment.
• Reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Experience in an ASME environment is a plus.
• Good organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail is a MUST.
