Summary
Glaz-Tech is looking for a Manufacturing/Quality Control Tech at our Baton Rouge, LA location. We are seeking a responsible, adaptable and self-driven individual looking to grow with us in the manufacturing industry. The glass fabricator/material handler/ quality control tech will use a variety of tools, machinery, and protective gear to ensure product is produced safely and to the highest quality.
Responsibilities may include:
* Use of specialized machinery and hand tools
* Organization and production of various glass products
* Assisting multiple departments as needed
* Inspects accepts and/or rejects work performed in compliance with applicable codes and specifications
* Conduct quality control tests and inspections raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
* Must demonstrate strong attention to detail with accuracy in all tasks.
* Must possess the ability to spot errors, maintain consistency and ensure high standards of quality in their work
Requirements:
* Ability to safely lift 50-75 pounds
* Ability to physically stand for 8 hours per day
* Must have reliable transportation to and from work
* Ability to communicate in English
* Willingness to learn new skills and grow as an employee
* Successfully pass pre-employment Drug Screen
Qualifications:
* Must be 18 years or older
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and equipment
* Authorized to work in the US
