Job Summary:
The Kitchen Steward at Marriott plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, as attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness are essential.

Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Steward, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating dishwashing machines to clean dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans.
  • Ensuring proper handling and storage of all kitchenware and equipment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area, including all storage and surface areas.
  • Regularly checking machinery to ensure proper functionality and reporting malfunctions to management.
  • Assisting with kitchen prep work as needed, which may include peeling vegetables and preparing basic ingredients.
  • Regularly disposing of kitchen waste and sanitizing the kitchen area, including floors.

Qualifications:
No previous experience is required; we will provide comprehensive training on the job. Candidates should possess the following traits:

  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a hot and humid kitchen environment.
  • Capability to follow instructions and operate industrial cleaning equipment.
