The Golf Course Shop Clerk works at the golf course, selling merchandise, renting carts and equipment, collecting green fees, answers phones, prepares bank deposits and end of shift paperwork, and performs basic housekeeping duties in the golf shop.

Skill in using a computer; Ability to operate golf course equipment; Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions; Flexibility to work a varied schedule; Good customer service skills and the ability to deal with the public with tact and courtesy. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, patrons, volunteers and the general public
Functions and Duties
This is a clerk position, reporting to the Golf Course Manager, involving providing golf shop services to the general public.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Stocking and organizing merchandise and informing supervisor of restocking needs.
- Selling golf shop merchandise and collecting fees for green fees, cart rentals,
- Operating electronic cash register, counting and remitting cash receipts.
- Opens and closes the golf shop, generally without supervision.
- Prepares shift change, bank deposit, and end of day reports.
- Ensures golf cart availability for patrons.
- Performing basic housekeeping duties such as dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, etc.
- May supervise Cart Attendant, Starter, and volunteers in the absence of the Clubhouse Manager.
- Assist Food & Beverage personnel as needed.
- Assists Golf Course Supervisor as required.

PAID TIME OFF: Part-time employees who work a minimum of 29 hours per week and at least 1,000 hours will be eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) hours. The purpose of the "Paid Time Off" benefit is to allow part time employees greater flexibility to take time off for vacation, sick and/or personal time. The maximum accrual is 40 hours per fiscal year. Once employees reach the cap, the employee will not accumulate any more PTO until some of the time in the account is utilized. After the balance goes below the maximum, the employee will begin accruing PTO again. Except for illness, employees are required to obtain supervisor approval in advance for the time off.
PSLF: BREC is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness. Employees who have Federal Direct Loans and have made 120 payments on the Federal Direct Loans (after Oct. 1, 2007) may be eligible for the remaining loan balance to be forgiven.
