This position is directly responsible for approximately 5.4 million building square feet for building maintenance. This position provides technical oversight and supervision of craft personnel on staff. This position is responsible for the supervision of all employees involved in the finishing, plaster work, and painting of all finish surfaces. This includes the supervision of work performed by LSU painters and plasterers as well as contract labor used by LSU to perform these functions.
Job Duties:
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience: Four years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges; OR completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering plus two years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges; OR twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, engineering, or any combination of these courses plus two years of experience in the building construction trades; maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment; building construction; building maintenance; or construction, maintenance, or repair of roads or bridges.
