Were looking for a self?starter to work both as part of the team and on individual assignments in an environment of customer mission delivery, integrity, and communications.

Meaningful Work and Personal Impact

As a Principal Cloud Developer, the work youll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our federal customers. You will play a crucial role via the following:

• Designs, architects, deploys and maintains cloud solutions
• Maintains the integrity and security of systems
• Maintains all documentation
• Supports and develops automation
• Develops in languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python
• Maintains/enhances knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Monitors and tunes the cloud systems to achieve optimum performance levels
• Works across teams and external customer groups to develop strategy, design solutions, and advise implementation teams during infrastructure buildouts
• Deals with escalations. Makes assessments, recommendations, or provides solutions to resolve issues
• Composes and maintains standard operating procedures and work instructions, knowledge articles, etc.

What Youll Need to Succeed

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Principal Cloud Developer must have:

• Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
• Experience:
• Principal Level: 5+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing
• Senior Principal Level: 8+ years of related experience with AWS cloud computing

Required Skills

• Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• Development background in Node.js and React.js
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and event?driven architecture
• Collaborate with cross?functional teams (including UI/UX designers, product managers, and other developers) to deliver high?quality solutions
• Design and implement data processing and integration solutions using ETL tools
• Experience with application using serverless architecture and/or containerization
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences at various levels of an organization

Preferred Skills

• Linux OS experience

The likely salary range for this position is $125,528 - $169,832. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
