  2025-12-31     Constructor     Baton Rouge,LA
Description:

Integration Engineer

Constructor is the next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce, built to explicitly optimize for metrics like revenue, conversion rate, and profit. Our search engine is entirely invented in-house utilizing transformers and generative LLMs, and we use its core and personalization capabilities to power everything from search itself to recommendations to shopping agents. Engineering is by far our largest department, and we've built our proprietary engine to be the best on the market, having never lost an A/B test to a competitive technology. We're passionate about maintaining this and work on the bleeding edge of AI to do so.

Out of necessity, our engine is built for extreme scale and powers over 1 billion queries every day across 150 languages and roughly 100 countries. It is used by some of the biggest ecommerce companies in the world like Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco.

We're a passionate team who love solving problems and want to make our customers' and coworkers' lives better. We value empathy, openness, curiosity, continuous improvement, and are excited by metrics that matter. We believe that empowering everyone in a company to do what they do best can lead to great things.

Constructor is a U.S. based company that has been in the market since 2019. It was founded by Eli Finkelshteyn and Dan McCormick who still lead the company today.

You have a knack for solving intricate problems with JavaScript. You're driven by the idea of writing code that simplifies life for millions of users globally. You're committed to continuous learning and enjoy tackling new challenges. Pair programming, code reviews, and collaborative brainstorming with a team are activities you find fulfilling. You're eager to work alongside developers, prospective customers, account executives, product managers, data scientists, and data analysts. You're a disciplined professional who consistently delivers high-quality code, communicates technical solutions with clarity and empathy, and takes the initiative to streamline processes for your team and yourself.

As an Integration Engineer on the Prospect Data Solutions team, you will play a pivotal role in proving how Constructor will enhance the product discovery experiences for our future customers. You'll work closely with prospective clients to seamlessly integrate their data with our services, supporting them in creating optimized and accurate product discovery demos.

In this role, you will:

  • Fuel our AI models: Develop and maintain JavaScript code to gather training data for our AI systems.
  • Seal the deal: Collaborate with Data Analysts and Account Executives to secure deals with prominent e-commerce brands.
  • Flex those ETL muscles: Use ETL processes to transform and ingest prospect data, enabling powerful "show, don't tell" demos that showcase our services' capabilities.
  • Be a part of the answer: Serve as a technical resource, addressing prospect questions and troubleshooting service-related inquiries.
  • Master the data: Verify the accuracy and quality of the catalog data and behavioral events delivered through our platform.
  • Elevate the team: Conduct in-depth code reviews, offering constructive feedback to teammates to uphold code quality.
  • Scale mountains (of data): Design and implement scalable live data collection services and utilities to automate and streamline the management of prospective customers' datasets.
  • Collaborative contribution: Work across teams to prioritize and address evolving prospect needs and contribute to open-source projects, such as our repository.
  • Champion team culture: Actively foster our team's sense of community by expanding our roster of Friday team-building games and promoting a culture of empathy, personal growth, and support for others.

This role is ideal for an Integration Engineer passionate about search technology, customer-focused solutions, and collaborative development.
