The Respiratory Assistant cleans and disinfects patient equipment, sterilizes reusable equipment prior to reuse, assembles and performs basic calibrations on ventilators and other critical respiratory equipment, supervises and trains the respiratory aids, audits charges and charting for accuracy, ensuring the provision of quality respiratory services by the department.
