Louisiana State University is seeking applications for postdoctoral researcher positions in offshore wind. The appointees will be members of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The positions are supported by the university-wide commitment to advancing development of the next generation floating offshore wind technologies. The ultimate goal of the postdoctoral researcher is to make fundamental contributions to the next generation of floating offshore wind.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Civil, Mechanical, and Coastal Engineering and Computational Science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Civil, Mechanical, and Coastal Engineering and Computational Science or related field.
Prior experience and strong motivation to continue work in several of the following areas is highly desirable: offshore wind energy, computational fluid dynamics, multiphase fluid mechanics, OpenFOAM, aerodynamics and hydrodynamics, finite element modeling and fluid structure interactions.
