This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald's USA. The franchisee holds the license to use McDonald's logos and food products within the restaurant. As such, the franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from McDonald's USA. If hired, the franchisee will be your employer, not McDonald's USA. Every employment matter—hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing and scheduling—is managed by the franchisee. McDonald's USA will not receive a copy of your application and will not be involved in any employment decisions.

Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring it meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. They work with leadership to set the restaurant's goals and create a plan to achieve those goals.

To reach the restaurant's goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers. The GM helps each Department Manager set goals, tracks progress, and provides coaching and direction to improve their departments, thereby enhancing overall restaurant performance.

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to maintain a strong leadership team.

Requirements

Ideal candidates should have prior General Manager experience running high‑volume locations. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Candidates must be 18 years or older to be a manager in a corporate‑owned restaurant.
