This position manages the Payroll & Benefits program for the Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD). DOTD's Payroll & Benefits Unit is comprised of five professional Human Resources positions responsible for overseeing the payroll, retirement, and benefits functions for both active and retired employees. This position reports to a Human Resources Manager B and provides support to the Human Resources Manager B and HR Director, as needed. The incumbent of this position is required to possess broad knowledge of the La. Gov HCM system and its reporting capabilities, Civil Service rules and regulations, DOTD policies and procedures, Office of State Uniform Payroll (OSUP) policies and memos, as well as specific knowledge of the pay/benefits aspects of federal and state employment laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Workers' Compensation.
