HydroBlasting Field Technician

Description:

HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking motivated HydroBlasting Field Technicians to join our safety-focused team! In this role, you will assist with setting up and operating water treatment systems, conducting pipeline hydrostatic testing, and ensuring client satisfaction at various job sites. This is an excellent opportunity for Transitioning Military personnel to leverage their skills and training as they transition to civilian life.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Industrial settings such as Refineries, Petro-Chemical facilities, Utilities, and Pulp and Paper Mills.

POSITION LOCATED IN: Saint Gabriel, LA

WORK SCHEDULE: On Call - 24/7 (days and/or nights), unless with approved time off.

TRAVEL: Less than 10%

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritize health and safety by following policies and acting responsibly.
  • Operate manual and automated Hydroblasting equipment safely and effectively.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps.
  • Perform thorough inspections and examinations of cleaned surfaces to meet company and customer expectations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and safely handle hazardous materials.
  • Complete assigned tasks and additional duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
  • Work safely in confined spaces and loud environments.
  • Strong reading and writing skills are essential.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator as required.
  • Flexibility to work shifts without a fixed schedule (day/night).
  • Must understand workplace safety training and follow emergency instructions.
  • Valid driver's license needed for driving work vehicles; must adhere to the company's driving policy.
  • OSHA certification may be necessary.
  • Knowledge in emergency equipment operation, such as fire extinguishers, is beneficial.
  • Must possess a valid Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).

REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License (physical copy required).
  • Valid Federal TWIC (physical copy required).
