Overview

Senior Product Sales Manager (Rowan Patents) – part of Clarivate. This role focuses on selling the Rowan platform, a leading-edge technology for patent drafting preparation and prosecution. You will drive the Rowan sales strategy in the field, deliver market expansion, develop innovative sales pipelines, and cultivate high-level customer relationships. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our target audience, delivering effective solution presentations, workshops, trials and/or proofs of concepts. Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for a high-impact product line (Rowan), cultivating and managing strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Utilize advanced sales and negotiation techniques to engage with high-value customers, drive market expansion, address complex challenges, and build high-level customer partnerships
• Achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring alignment with Clarivate's sales objectives and contributing to revenue growth
• Leverage knowledge of patent preparation and prosecution to support clients (attorneys and paralegals) using Rowan software to draft and prosecute patents; drive software adoption through hands-on client engagement; lead best-practice development for product deployment and usage
• Continuously deepen industry knowledge and product expertise to maintain a competitive advantage and refine sales planning
• Acquire a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and defend our solutions against competitive offerings
• Provide sales insights, market and customer feedback to senior leadership across Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners; collaborate with product teams to inform future product roadmaps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• 7+ years of professional work experience in sales and/or intellectual property or similar
• 3+ years of IP experience related to patent drafting work
• Past work experience as a Patent Attorney (preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of USPTO patent filing requirements
• Prior experience successfully selling into law firms and/or corporate legal teams

Rowan Patents focuses on AI-enabled solutions designed for patent drafting preparation and prosecution, specially designed for patent practitioners to establish and protect patents more effectively. This enables Clarivate to extend its workflow automation solutions beyond its market-leading IP management and intelligence capabilities, delivering new solutions to support patent preparation, filing and prosecution. You will partner with another sales professional focusing on the growth of the Rowan platform.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time remote position with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed.

You will be expected to travel ~50% to meet with clients as needed

Compensation – US Only

The expected base salary for this position is a base salary of $110,000-140,000 USD per year with eligibility for commission earnings. Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.
