Job Description:
This position provides support to the University Stores central warehouse, ensuring the effective receiving, storage, stocking, and delivery operations of the University Stores logistics group. This position will assist in a onetime audit of compressed gas cylinders located at University Stores, as well as providing short-term support for a reorganization of the physical layout of the University Stores warehouse and relocation of the inventory held in the warehouse.
Job Responsibilities
Warehouse Reconfiguration Support Short Term - 1/05/2026 thru 7/31/2026
Provide support to planned cleanout and reconfiguration of University Stores warehouse. Conduct physical inventory of existing merchandise. Remove and prepare for surplus/disposal obsolete inventory as identified by University Stores Directors. Disassemble and reconfigure existing pallet racking. Update bin locations of inventory items both in the warehouse and electronically in the Famis CMMS system.(40%)
Gas Cylinder Audit Short Term - 1/05/2026 thru 7/31/2026
Assist in site audit of compressed gas cylinders on hand. Create manifests of cylinders including quantities, locations, contents, and cylinder ownership. As required, pick-up cylinders from departments and transport to University Stores using a forklift with integrated gas cylinder cage and a lift rating of 6000lbs. Sorts and prepares manifests of individual gas cylinders. (30%)
Delivery Support Short Term - 1/05/2026 thru 7/31/2026
Operate stake-body or pick-up trucks with a GVW rating of over 8,000 lbs to transport various maintenance, repair, and operational materials as required for the operation of University Stores. Deliver materials primarily on the LSU Baton Rouge campus but will also at times be required to make pick-ups of materials in the Greater Baton Rouge area. Maintain vehicle logs for all trips made. (mileage, destination, and fuel usage). Other duties as assigned. (30%)

1) Due to the position's physical requirements, a pre-employment physical examination will be required per FASOP: HR-04.
2) This position requires a valid driver's license, will require an MVR, and is subject to drug screens per PM-33/PS-67/FASOP HR-04.
