The Accounting Technician position is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal and administrative duties in support of the agency's accounting operations. Work includes preparing and reconciling daily bank deposits, recording receivables in both the agency's licensing and accounting systems, preparing monthly adjusting journal entries, and processing weekly vendor payments. The incumbent also assists with employee onboarding activities, including the completion of new hire and benefits documentation. This position requires accuracy, organizational skills, and a strong understanding of standard accounting procedures and state fiscal policies.

Minimum qualifications include three years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations. Experience substitution is available.
Job duties include preparing and completing daily bank deposits, recording receivables in both agencies' licensing system and accounting software, preparing monthly adjusting journal entries, processing weekly vendor payments, and maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records. The position also assists with the onboarding of new employees.
The appointment type is probational, and work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday. The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
