The LSU Manship School of Mass Communication invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track position as a Professional-in-Residence for the Journalism Area to begin in Fall 2026. Applications will be reviewed beginning in January 2026. We seek a distinguished journalism practitioner to teach four courses per semester in the undergraduate core curriculum and/or courses in media writing, introduction to broadcast, broadcast advanced newsgathering, TV news producing, broadcast capstone, and other courses related to areas of expertise. In lieu of a fourth course, the PIR will work with and support LSU Student Media.
Job Responsibilities:
Teach up to four undergraduate courses per semester in the Manship School of Mass Communication. In lieu of a fourth course, the PIR will assist with LSU Student Media as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in mass communication or related field with 8 years of related experience.
