Job Description

Are you looking for a challenging position and opportunities for professional growth by working in a vibrant, expanding air and noise team? If so, we have an immediate opening for a mid- to senior-level Air Permitting Project Manager to join our team.

As part of our continued success, we are seeking an Air Permitting Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be based in one of the following locations: Baton Rouge, LA, Houston, TX, or Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

  • Client engagement, including collaboration with industrial design, operations, and environmental compliance managers to assist with creation of permit conditions that align with the client's business goals.
  • Project management, including budget development and tracking, project team leadership (i.e., engagement and support), workload facilitation, and product delivery.
  • Program marketing support, including proposal preparation, teaming partner and client outreach, and strategy development.
  • Regulator engagement, including shepherding air permit applications through agency processes and negotiating appropriate permit conditions.
  • Exercising required technical and regulatory skills including the following:
    • New Source Review (NSR) permitting and regulatory analyses in compliance with local, state, and federal rules
    • Employ knowledge of air operating permits, including preparation of initial and renewal applications, as well as compliance assessment and/or assistance
    • Air dispersion modeling analyses (e.g., AERMOD; AERSCREEN)
    • Coordinate emission source tests/exhaust sample collection
    • Calculate quantitative emission estimates and potential-to-emit for industrial, utility, commercial, institutional, and transportation sources
    • Prepare Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analyses
    • Employ knowledge of CAA, including NSR & PSD, NSPS & NESHAP, CAM, as well as other local, state, and federal regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of air permitting or similar experience, including 3+ years of project management experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
  • Ability to provide leadership, mentoring, and technical direction for staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service, including high quality work, ethical standards, and strong written and verbal communication skills

Benefits

Landau Associates offers an excellent compensation and benefits package in an environment that promotes personal growth and professional advancement. The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $175,000. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, performance, location, and internal equity.
