Capitol City Produce is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to bring insight, accuracy, and leadership to our Accounting department.

What Youll Do:
As our Senior Accountant, youll play a key role in overseeing the financial close process, preparing monthly financial statements, leading compliance tasks, and providing financial oversight across operations. Youll also support audits, assist with tax reporting, manage financial reporting to leadership, and continuously look for ways to improve systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead monthly close process and generate accurate financial reports

Prepare journal entries and reconcile sales, COGS, and balance sheet accounts

Support external audits and inventory counts

Ensure timely compliance with sales tax filings and business license renewals

Review key operational processes and support system efficiency improvements

Collaborate on special projects and cross-functional initiatives

What Were Looking For:
? Bachelors in Accounting (MBA or CPA preferred)
? 5+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
? Solid understanding of GAAP
? Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
? High integrity and attention to confidentiality
