AMMON Staffing is seeking a Coding Specialist to support a multi-specialty clinic in Baton Rouge. You'll ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding to drive compliant, timely billing while partnering closely with providers and the reimbursement team.

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (may vary)
Compensation: $25.00/hr DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze medical records to assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
• Confirm documentation supports code selection; query providers to clarify diagnoses/procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing/revenue cycle teams on claims edits, denials, and collections support.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding practices, regulations, and clinic technology.

• 3+ years recent medical coding experience (clinic or multi-specialty preferred).
• Certification required: AAPC-CPC or AHIMA-CCS.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Working knowledge of EMR/EHR and revenue cycle workflows.

• Unit of pay: Hourly.
• Screenings: Standard pre-employment background and drug screen.
