The Federal Aid Off-System Highway Bridge Program is the only avenue the 64 parishes have to obtain Federal and State monies to replace deficient or closed bridges on their roadways. Due to the significance of this program, this office often answers inquiries concerning the availability of funds and status of projects for parish bridges from parish officials, senators, representatives, and the Governors office. This position is responsible for administering federal and state funds to the parishes for replacement of deficient structures on their roadways and is responsible for overseeing all design stages and construction support of these projects.
