Job Details

Conducts testing and interprets data of highly complex clinical laboratory testing for human specimens. Performs chemical, physical, and/or biological analysis of samples to detect, quantify and characterize substances and organisms of public health or regulatory significance. Receives samples, ensures that samples meet acceptance criteria, and maintains proper sample handling according to laboratory procedures and complying with federal and state laws and regulations related to CLIA, HIPAA and other laboratory compliance regulations. Ensures that assigned samples are tested in a timely manner. Ensures that pre-analytical and post-analytical aspects of the testing process meets acceptance guidelines prior to releasing results. Uses the laboratory information management system (LIMS) to log samples, track samples, enter sample results, and to release reports to Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and submitting healthcare organizations.
