Description:

Are you social media-savvy with a keen eye for detail and a passion for advertising? If so, Lamar's Transit and Airport division of our Corporate office is now hiring a new Design Content Manager. This position aims to develop and execute engaging digital campaigns across various platforms to support Lamar Transit and Airport authority partnerships, community connections, and client brand campaigns. The Content Manager will uphold the highest standards in accuracy, timeliness, and communications publishing best practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in communications/social media digital content creation, management and strategy.
  • OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple online platforms and channels, including but not limited to Monday.com, Highspot, Lamar Transit & Airport LinkedIn, Transit & Airport Instagram, Lamar Transit & Airport Web pages, MyLamar, etc.
  • Create and curate visually appealing, high-quality digital content (photos, videos, graphics, etc.) that aligns with our brand and messaging.
  • Create engaging copy for content campaigns, marketing materials, digital channels, and web materials.
  • Research industry trends, case studies, and monitor partnered authority digital channels.
  • Support the Communications Strategist and other Transit and Airport leadership to develop compelling brand stories.
  • Source photography and video materials from the Global Photo Library and other approved third party contractors.
  • The Content Manager will work closely to support the Communications Strategist and collaborate with the marketing and design team to ensure brand consistency across all channels.
  • Responsible for reporting and analyzing media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly. The Content Manager will plan and maintain an organized media calendar.
  • Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Create quarterly digital content calendar organized and up-to-date.
  • Stay up to date on relevant digital media sharing software and tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, are less than 10%.
