The role of the Content and Digital Strategist is to create engaging, targeted written content on behalf of Pelican State Credit Union for all mediums including the credit unions website, blog, letters, articles, newsletters, press releases, promotional materials, etc. This role serves as the 'written voice' of Pelican and helps to communicate the brand and credit union initiatives, while ensuring all content is on-brand, consistent, and optimized for search and user experience. They will manage Pelican's social media profiles and accounts on many different platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. Our Content and Digital Strategist must also embody Pelicans Core Values and provide excellent service in all that they do.

A Day in the Life of a Content and Digital Strategist Includes:

• Write original content for all mediums and channels to achieve marketing initiatives.
• Monitor developments and trends related to position within the credit union industry and make suggestions.
• Promote Pelican products, services, promotions and events.
• Manage Pelicans presence on all social media outlets.
• Help in the development of strategic goals for content marketing.

Content and Digital Strategist Skills and Qualifications Include:

• BS or BA in Marketing, Mass Communication, Communication, Journalism, English, Business, or a related field
  • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 3 years of experience in writing, editing, branding, and content management.
• Must be familiar with SEO best practices.
• Proficiency in software such as Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro, Hootsuite, and CapCut are preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

• Work Schedule:
  • Monday Friday
    • 8:00 am 5:00 pm
  • Some weekends and after hours, as needed, for marketing related events.
• Travel:
  • Travel is necessary to attend events.
• Work Site Location:
  • All work will be performed at our beautiful Corporate Campus located at 2675 O'Neal Lane, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
