GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Location: School Board Office/Maintenance Department
Reports To: Supervisor of Maintenance Department
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: Per WBR Salary Schedule
Terms of Employment: 12 Months
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Maintenance, this individual will perform skilled manual labor in a variety of functions related to the upkeep of all WBR facilities, along with the repair of school buildings as needed.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL DUTIES
? General repairs including Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Groundskeeping work
? Painting
? Assemble furniture and equipment
? Replace and/or repair plumbing and fixtures
? Troubleshoot equipment and repair equipment (mechanical, electrical)
? Repair and change light fixtures and bulbs
? Repair and change ceiling tiles
? Replace and/or repair door and cabinet hardware & windows
? Order supplies and stock inventory
? Submit and coordinate work orders
? Assist coworkers with tasks as needed
? Orient new employees to department procedures
? Operate truck, tractor, skid steer, scissor lift and other equipment
? Make deliveries to all WBR locations as needed
? Identify deficiencies and recommends maintenance solution to Supervisor
? Provide courteous and prompt service to customers and school staff
? Be able to work in a team-based environment
? Perform other duties as assigned by the proper authority as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
? High School Diploma or equivalent
? 3 years work experience in general labor or equivalent combination of training and experience (PLUMBING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
? Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force
constantly.
? Lifting 60 pounds
? Standing, walking, reaching, bending
