Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and ready to take your accounting career to the next level?
Capitol City Produce is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. In this critical role, you'll support financial operations for our family of companies through account reconciliations, monthly close processes, tax filings, reporting, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries
• Reconcile accounts including bank statements and intercompany ledgers
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accruals and financial close tasks
• Maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and fixed asset ledger
• Assist with internal and external reporting and audit support
• Renew and maintain business licenses (occupational, gaming, etc.)
• File timely and accurate sales tax reports
• Prepare monthly vendor and customer rebates
• Collaborate with internal teams on inventory adjustments and payment follow-ups
• Support other accounting tasks and special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficient in Excel, Word, G-Suite, and Adobe Acrobat
• Familiarity with GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
