Job Details

The Fitness Specialist is responsible for conducting one-on-one and group training exercise sessions with members and non-members. Other duties include exercise testing and evaluation, and the development of appropriate exercise programs. Performs various duties assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital. Requirements: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Kinesiology or a health-related discipline. Three years of experience in personal training and/or exercise instruction preferred. National certification in personal training or exercise physiology required within 90 days of hire. Responsibilities: Seeks out opportunities to teach Group Classes and teaches Group Classes as requested by management. Performs appropriate movement screens and selects fitness tests that are both safe and appropriate for the individual.
