WSP is expanding and offers an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Vice President Project Manager to support our Site Investigation & Remediation Business Line in Baton Rouge, LA. We seek a motivated candidate eager to grow our environmental consulting services in Louisiana.

Your Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new clients through networking both inside and outside WSP.
• Manage environmental projects, including site characterization, remedial design, and compliance, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.
• Perform fieldwork such as soil, vapor, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling, overseeing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to regulations.
• Analyze data and prepare reports, recommending remedial solutions based on scientific and engineering principles.
• Provide technical reviews to ensure compliance with environmental laws, standards, and project specifications.
• Travel primarily within Louisiana and Texas, with occasional trips elsewhere in the Western US.
• Maintain communication with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service.
• Mentor and train junior staff, fostering team development.
• Coordinate project teams, ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Participate in technical discussions and business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and client satisfaction to promote repeat business.
• Adhere to ethical standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related fields.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Louisiana.
• 10+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.
• Strong background in environmental consulting for industrial, mining, energy, or government sectors.
• Expertise in environmental regulations and field investigations.
• Project management experience, including scope, schedule, and budget control.
• Proven business development skills and client relationship management.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Must pass background check and have a valid driving record.
