AMMON Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist for a long-standing manufacturing leader located in Slaughter, LA, just outside of Baton Rouge. About the Role

As a CNC Machinist, you'll help build massive, precision-engineered components for a range of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, and cable-operated lifting equipment. You'll be working with Doosan and Haas CNC machines (plus manual lathes if you're experienced), supporting the legacy of innovation with every cut, bore, and finish.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, lathes, and horizontal boring mills
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Maintain traceability and documentation throughout each job
• Perform precise quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Complete daily equipment maintenance and follow all safety protocols
• Assist in producing one-off and short-run components for new equipment and repairs
• Occasionally work with manual machines (experience preferred, not required)

Requirements

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience (mills, lathes, boring mills)
• Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment independently
• Fanuc G-code programming experience
• Ability to read blueprints and perform precision measurements
• Experience with Doosan and Haas machines is a plus
• Background check and drug screen required
