Lead Network Security Engineer

Description:

Overview: GovCIO is seeking a skilled Lead Network Security Engineer with an active Secret clearance to lead and enhance our IT security programs and policies. This role is fully remote within the United States.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage IT security initiatives and policies to ensure robust security protocols.
  • Oversee changes to systems and evaluate the security implications of those changes.
  • Conduct rigorous security testing for development code changes and prepare/review important documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on disaster recovery (DR) and contingency planning (ISCP).
  • Draft comprehensive IT Security evaluations related to audit outcomes.
  • Support the creation, updating, and resolution of all Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs), and develop security guidelines for both new and existing DEA networks as required.
  • Perform thorough IT Security analysis by reviewing all System Change Requests (SCRs) and vulnerability scan reports, collaborating with technical SMEs to devise and monitor remediation plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience in network security, or equivalent experience.
  • Active Secret clearance is mandatory, along with the capability to secure DEA suitability.

Posted Salary Range: The salary range for this position is expected to be between USD $150,000.00 - USD $170,000.00 per year, although the actual salary may differ based on factors such as location, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.

This role offers an at-will employment arrangement, allowing GovCIO to modify compensation based on individual and company performance, as well as market conditions.
