Job Summary: The Janitor/Maintenance position at Helix Community Schools is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. This role involves performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the school facilities, ensuring that all areas are in compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
•Cleaning and Maintenance:
o Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
o Clean and sanitize restrooms, ensuring that supplies such as soap and paper towels are stocked.
o Empty trash cans and dispose of waste properly.
•Facility Repairs:
o Assist with minor repairs.
o Report any significant maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Operations Manager promptly.
•Inventory Management:
o Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
o Notify the Operations Manager when supplies need to be ordered.
•Safety Compliance:
o Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
o Participate in training sessions related to health and safety regulations.
•Collaboration:
o Work collaboratively with other staff members to support school events and activities, including setting up and taking down equipment as needed
