Job Purpose & Position Summary
The Baton Rouge Health District (BRHD) is a coalition of patient-focused innovative healthcare organizations committed to the vision of a world-class high performing health destination at the heart of a healthy and vibrant community. The district promotes collaboration among healthcare providers, government officials, payors, higher education institutions and others to implement a master plan that will enhance healthcare and economic development in Baton Rouge.
Baton Rouge Health District is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support the implementation and management of key initiatives within the areas of Healthy Living, Health Education and Workforce, Innovation and Research, and Coalition Building. While this position will contribute to the overall work of BRHD, its main focus will be on BRHireD, a workforce development program aimed at recruiting, training, placing, and retaining middle-skilled workers to meet critical healthcare workforce demands in the Baton Rouge Area. The Program Coordinator will work directly with training providers, healthcare employers, and community partners to ensure efficient coordination of all program components-including participant recruitment, delivery of support services, employer engagement, stipend distribution, and progress reporting and tracking. The Program Coordinator will report to the Program Manager.
